Growing up in Queens, New York, I was always encouraged to pursue my creativity. I am an ambitious entrepreneur, who loves designing and creating. My studio is located in Anchorage, Alaska. My creations are owned by people all over the world. I travel throughout the United States participating in various art and craft shows. I am a proud recipient of a “TELLY AWARD” for a how-to video. I have also been a guest on the Home Shopping Network and QVC as well as appeared on such TV shows as NBC's "Today Show - Weekend in New York, and OPRAH’S Oxygen Network "She Commerce."

I currently live in Anchorage, Alaska with my husband John, my daughter Falynne, and the joy of our lives my grand daughter Jaylynne.

"Gretchen" was the first piece I created in February 2008

Kay Petal (Felt Alive) and I became friends through the felting forum. I was new to needle felting and was excited to see another person on the forum from Alaska and not far from where I lived.

Kay and I became friends and enjoyed needle felting together for many hours at a time. Kay was starting to get lots of customers interested in her DVD , but she was sending them all over trying to find supplies that would be perfect for her products. This is where I saw an opportunity to be able to service Kay’s customers.

So in November, 2009, I launched Dream Felt. One month later I was diagnosed with a very rare cancer (carcinoid cancer). Kay is also a rare cancer survivor and we formed an even deeper bond. She has been a tremendous help in making laughter the best medicine. We both believe that life is too short and it’s all about having fun!

So the partnership between us grew even more. Yes we “work” as a team and enjoy bringing our dear felting friends our love of needle felting and with it the supplies that are a dream to work with.

Felt Alive will continue to offer you "Dream Felt" wool and supplies that you all have come to know and love. And Dream Felt will have it's new home on the web, and will continue to bring you products you will love, and the GREAT customer service we are known for.
